A few here may remember this News McNugget from the late 70s or early 80s, when some guy filed suit against GM after discovering that his Cadillac's engine was an ordinary, re-badged Chevy mill. (His position: He'd paid for a CADILLAC, by golly, not a Chevy...) They had to start including fine print in their ads stating that their cars could have powerplants from other GM divisions.

The "Chevy" Forester was sold in India, as I recall.
