In 2003 my '90 Legacy was getting tired as it approached 200,000 miles so I started looking for another good, used Subaru. Test-drove a local, late 90s Impreza with +/-100K, priced at $7500, and was decidedly unimpressed; the wheezing Legacy was superior in every respect. So I started noodling around online and re-discovered the SVX, a car I'd totally forgotten about in the 10+ years since my ex and I briefly considered buying one when they hit the market. (Understandable that I'd forgotten, having seen only one in all that time.) Anyway, I was smitten by the on-line ads, and had to have one. It appeared I could get a decent example for half what I'd figured on spending; so much the better.
Seems the thought, I love this car, flutters through my mind at least once every time I'm behind the wheel. Whenever I have to shell-out for a pricey part or repairs, I figure that means I must drive 'em more to get my money's worth.
