crazyhorse, your brake lines are just a result of red-neck engineering. I have heard of it, along with other things I won't mention. the idea of it being an anti-swell solution may be a little true. i personally drive on brake hoses (one the truck) that have lost most of their outer rubber, and have broken most of the nylon that should never see the light of day. (I am embarrassed to admit this btw)
