I reported it to base police, but they couldn't do anything for me since it's most likely less than $500 dollars worth of damage, and there's no way of proving who did it. Serves me right for being vain, I guess.

Anyone know of any good and reputable bodywork shops in the Jacksonville, NC area, or would I be luckier going through the Subaru dealership in town?

You'd be surprised how much body work costs. I bet that work will cost at least 500 if not more.
