Need help with OBD2 Transmission Code Check
Reaching for a miracle here, hoping someone with an OBD2 SVX reads this tonight. I need to check my transmission codes tomorrow morning (it is currently 2 hours away) and the OBD1 sequence doesn't work because we can't shift into D with the ignition off. I found the following sequence. Can someone try this and let me know if it works on your OBD2?
- Warm up the engine
- Turn the ignition switch OFF
- Turn the ignition switch ON
- Start the engine
- Drive the vehicle at speeds greater than 12 MPH
- Stop the vehicle
- Depress the brake pedal and move the gear selector to "1"
- Turn the ignition switch to OFF
- Turn the ignition switch to ON
- Move the gear selector to "2"
- Move the gear selector to "1"
- Move the gear selector to "2"
- Move the gear selector to "3"
- Move the gear selector to "D"
