Goodbye Mrs Parks

Hi everyone, This is way off the automobile scene. Rosa Parks an early civil rights person passed away today in Detroit,Michigan at age 92. She came to Detroit in 1957 after the bus boycott in Montgomery, Al. Her brother lived in Detroit and invited her to come to Detroit after she lost her job in Montgomery and had her life threatened. Although I had not had the pleasure of meeting her in person, She always seemed like a very nice person in interviews. Sometimes sitting down is standing up for your rights. As a child and later I always gave my seat to any lady who was standing. It made no difference what color she was. Woman have more rights now but that does not mean that we can not be nice and do the right thing. Take care, BOBB
