If you have the ready cash I would get it checked/flushed/rebuilt for piece of mind. With less cash available, I'd drive it a few miles then re-drain & change the filter again - why, because if a clutch has failed, that clutch material has to be somewhere - probably not much in the TC, but since the swap is such a pain, a few more minutes and another filter is chump change (IMHO).
svx_commuter, the transaxle has to be pulled, but not separated. The TC sits between the engine and the differential. There is a hollow tube (I forget its real name) that passes through the differential, and which couples the TC to the tranny input shaft.
