i have a big TCI cooler, and it runs around 170-185 on a hot summer day. it will touch 200 going up big hills, but i remove the plastic belly pan in the summer and this makes a big difference in keeping things cooler AND in quickly reducing temps to normal when they do get higher than normal. i believe the normal operating temp for the tranny is around 170. people have reported seeing temps above 240 on here.
