The Honda Rep was there. So was one of the designers. He thought for a second and said it'll make a dent on the front door. But why would you want to do that?
Accidents do happen. I guess it's good for the bodyshops though.

Yeah, but that big opening those barn-doors make is nice. I mean, the Element's not for me, but I still appreciate that utility. It's just a shame that Honda couldn't make the thing safe in side impacts. Go figure - besides being wide, that opening is like nine feet tall.
A friend of mine has an Element. He really digs it, but I don't really care for the car. Honda really cheapened the interior materials to bring the price down to the target buyer they were shooting for.
