I know I have a tendency to lump all drivers into the same category and determine, quite easily, that everybody except me is practically retarded. One stranger is the same as the next so it's easy to conclude that they're all bad drivers. I doubt I'm the only one who does this.
I think that the problem is that few people are
aware that they do it, so when somebody makes a simple mistake they fly off the handle. They get out of the car and get confrontational. They chase somebody.
Sometimes I have to make a dumb mistake to realize that we all do. Nobody is a perfect driver, despite what we'd like to believe. We all just have to pay attention and calm the hell down.
If I made the same mistake and you got out of your car, pissed off, I'd leave too. If you then followed me I'd call 911 because
you are the dangerous one - not the guy who made the mistake.
