Its a magnetic pick up and its output depends on the speed that the tone wheel passes it. As the magnet weakens, with age, the output at lower speeds is too weak, So the ABS thinks its stopped, (wheel locked up). As the speed is increased the signal becomes stronger, to work ok.
Just need to find which one.
