I replaced my fog bulbs with yellow ones a while ago (not for scientific reasons, just because I got tired of people flashing me when I had them on), and noticed that the yellow ones do not produce as much of a glare against the fog (for lack of better words). I attributed this to the seperation of light in a prism, but I'll take the knowledge of a doctor with evidence over that of my own
