Not SVX-related, but thought someone might find this interesting.
Current members of IMBA (International Mountain Bicycling Association) can get a new Subaru for dealer invoice cost, plus a FREE Yakima bike rack.
I just got a new 2002 Impreza Outback Sport that way - saved me a good $2,000 off the sticker. If you're in the market for a new Suby it would definitely be worth the $20 or so annual membership even if you don't ride a bike. Heck, the bike rack alone is worth $300!
The drawbacks: You have to be a member for at least 6 months, and "at the current time" the WRX is not eligible.
BTW, the Outback Sport is VERY NICE - no, it doesn't have the 2.0 turbo
, but it does have a very torquey 165 hp 2.5 that feels like a HUGE step up from the 2.2 in my '93 Legacy. Very solid, great fit and finish . . . I love it!
