My name is Mike. Dayle sold the 94 Mystery green car to me.
Earl helped me out on the registration. Turns out that while a telephone number was not required/forced at registration but that it is a "required" field. The irony is that without an approved registration I couldn't fix it. All squared away now.
I moderate a couple of different groups. On both new members are approved immediately for access and can post but the posts are moderated for while. After a short time of demonstrating their posting and contribution the moderation is turned off. We have lurkers who have been on for years that never post. They also are still moderated. It has served well to do it this way for the last 5 years.
By contrast one of the SVX groups on Yahoo just approves new members. It has over 3500 members. I am bettiing that more than 2000 are dead/bouncing/spambot accounts. It is also configured to show email addresses. I don't want my email address visible so that bots can mine it.
So I landed here!
