This was about a year ago, but I do remember starting the car, and things were not working right. Maybe I'm lying a little bit? I'm not sure.

Either the cruise control module or the door lock timer.

I always thought there were 20 screws to remove the glove box, but it's been a long time since I did it and I may have removed a few that I didn't need to. The golden rule is: If it can be unscrewed, unscrew it.
