I had exactly the same problem!
The ignition switch was VERY loose, and the steering column lock was not working!
Sure enough, one security bolt had fallen out completely, and was (thankfully) still there, rolling around in the lower steering column cover!
The other one was unthreaded about halfway.
Tighten both bolts, and - problem solved!!
It appears that many people have this problem - maybe the "knock off" torque on the original bolts was too low, and therefore not enough torque was applied to tighten the bolt itself!
