For the past 4 or so years, i've been going down to one of my dad's customer's ranches in south south south texas (35 miles from the border) to hunt. The ranch is somewhere around 8000 acres, and he just bought 3000 (i think) more. Anyway, last year, i got to take home a Black Buck , and this year, i got a pretty rare chance to get a bobcat.
The bobcat ran across the path, and in to some cacti, when we got up to it, it was pretty dark, and my dad could not see through the scope, so i grabbed the gun from him (.22 250) and barely saw it's ear twitch, so i shot at it. I ended up shooting the right side of his face, but it got the job done. I got the mount in today from the taxidermist, and it looks pretty sweet. They did an excellent job of reconstructing his face.

P.S. This is not meant to offend any anti-hunters here. With the black buck, we actually ate the meat for dinner that night, so it was not completely wasted.
