Instead I used regular rubber pull through valve stems. I slid rubber grommets over the stem and down to be flush with the hole in the rim. That way the valve stem does not flex and cause possible contact with the rim.

Are those chrome sleeves over the valve stem? Do they interfere with tire pressure gauges or air chucks?
