Re: Powder Coating SVX Rims

I picked up my refinished wheels from Transwheel this afternoon. They were personally brought out to me by the plant manager.

My jaw dropped when I saw them and I was momentarily speechless! All I can say is WOW!!!

I thought my wheels were perfect when they were first done back in 2002, but these are far beyond perfect. I think powdercoating technology has come a long way in eight years.

Not only is the application of the finish flawless , very shiny and deep, they took a spectrum scan of my filled and refinished center caps and tweaked the color formula ever so slightly to get a better match between the powdercoated finish and my existing acrylic lacquer-finished center caps. I could not be more pleased.

They reminded me that the lifetime warranty started all over again. They also assured me that these wheels would never come back to them for finish problems.

I will probably get the tires mounted on Wednesday Getting the valve stems tomorrow). Photos are useless as no photo would do them justice and they look better than any of the photos I already have. They have to be seen in person. Also the removal of the "stamp" and the "L" is subtle, yet noticeable to anyone familiar with these wheels; just a smooth surface all around.

Maintenance is only hot soapy water and a strong stream of water. If they ever get really dirty, they endorse only one cleaner: P21S.

This is a pH controlled, non-acid, non-lye based formula guaranteed not to attack any type of road wheel, braking system or other automotive surface. I have been using this for years.
