In Lackawanna county we get the "Visual Inspection" basically, make sure the cat PCV (yea, I'm sure they looked for mine) EGR & carbon filter are there, and a gas cap pressure test.

But, if you take it to what we call a "lick and stick" they give it the economy style visual inspection.
