try this once you get the camera hooked up to your computer...
1. Take a picture of the same subject (say, your SVX) with the camera at each of its settings
2. Download the three pics to your computer
3. View each picture without changing anything
4. Now, view each picture at 2x their downloaded size.
If you see a significant change in how sharp any of the pictures are, those that are "less sharp" are probably "interpolated" pictures, as the individual pixels have been "tweeked" through software.
My guess is that you'll be fine up to 3x5 or 5x7 size pictures.
