5400 rpm was the power peak per this article in my locker.

Spinning the engine up tighter than this only makes sense to avoid falling out of the powerband when shifting (rev thru 5400 rpm, shift and avoid revs dropping too far below 5400 rpm)
Well, that and the sound the EG33 makes when wound up!
