I tried the liquid pain killer, but that's a bad idea for a head injury. Really intensifies the pain instead of making it go away.

The post is good. Its in place now and the bay is no longer up on jack stands. I couldn't find any blood or dents on the post, so it appeared to survive the accident. I'll pass your concern to it, I'm sure it will appreciate it
