a 400 hp vette tops out at 180 because it cannot go any higher due to gear ratios. Like my car will not go fatser than 145 because of gear ratios... I am not sure you are fully understanding what it takes to make top speed. With the right conditions a stock SVX can reach 170 mph... But like I said, it would need a tailwind going downhill on a 40* day.... It is possible given the right things happen at the right time. The SVX is geared to top out around 190mph(I think). The only reason it doesn't is because it does not have the power to puch the car at that speed. Physics 101 in a friction free environment an SVX can do ~190 in a reduced friction environemt (downhill/tailwind) the SVX might be able to do 170.... The only thing is it will take about 20 minutes to acheive that kind of speed
