I've got drilled/slotted all around with carbon-metallic in front and axxis metal masters in the rear. My turbo Grand Am has slotted/drilled in front with ceramic pads. I drive pretty hard and use the brakes hard. All the drilled/slotted rotors on both my cars are cracking around the holes.

This is a common problem and the reason drilled rotors generally aren't recommended. Of course if you spend a fortune on some really high quality rotors you may not have the cracking problem but for the $200-300 most of us are spending on drilled/slotted we're not going to get top quality material.

When I replace the rotors (on both cars) I'm going with slotted-only. I emailed Irotors and they will do slotted-only if you ask.

I haven't tried green stuff pads or kevlar. I've tried ceramic, carbon-metallic, and axxis. The axxis wear out the fastest and I get the best stopping from carbon-metallic. I'm going to give the green stuff pads a try next.

I already have a set of braided stainless steel brake hoses coming from Irotors....will be here on the 13th. I'll let you know how they work out.
