Keep it well lubed, and it won't go.

You might consider keeping your tyre pressures a little over stock, say 30-35 or 31-36.

It would help for long speedy runs anyway, but even for running around, steering is easier, and rolling resistance a little less, so mpg does not suffer. Pump them too high, and the centres will wear first, but a couple of pounds won't do that.

After a run, check that you do not have one wheel hotter than the rest. This will indicate a sticking and dragging brake pad. The engine has so much pull [torque] you will not notice it while driving, but mpg will suffer, and the wheel will be hot.
[It is normal for them to be pretty warm with the weight and speed of the car, but I am talking about one being noticably higher than the rest]

Put in an extra tranny cooler, if you do not already have one.

Some people change tranny oil every six months as a precaution against the oil getting burnt up. If you use fully synthetic as Rob suggests, this is probably overkill. If you use standard Dexron 111, it is good advice.

Make sure you get the wheels tracked using 4-wheel laser tracking, nothing less will do, and go where the operators know their job. If tracking is wrong, it will adversely affect the handling, and your tyres will wear at an expensive rate.

Last bit of advice, don't get too anal, the cars are robust and good if looked after.
