Now, the only thing that's really holding me back from converting is ... pedal spacing. Every 5spd SVX I've seen has the clutch right next to the brake pedal, and I don't know why that is.

No 5spd offered cause as has been said many time and pointed out my Tom. They didn't have a manual that could handle the power at the time. Tha's why all the manual swaps are from 2002+ pretty much.
