Yup - the ETS Quiet is not too loud. It was a little louder than I would have liked immediately after install, but it has gotten significantly quieter as I've driven the car over the last week or so.

test drove a '15 Forester and XV, was very "meh" - interior seems cheaper than her '05. plus i'm not very happy with Subaru right now. after much looking and test driving we got .... a 2015 Outlander Sport 2.4L AWD GT.

if you would have told me 5 years ago i'd own 2 Mitsubishi's, i'd laugh in your face!
We're actually a 3 Mitsu family as my wife has a 2012 2.4L Outlander AWD GT (with the 7 passenger seating configuration), and my step-daughter has a 2010 Lancer sportback.

she wanted something smaller like her '05 Forester (we have no kids or herd of large dogs, and i'm not a contractor or farmer), and the Forester grown larger over the years. probably not for everyone who wants bigger capacity, or doesn't live anywhere near a Mitsu dealer, but it works good for her.

not the actual car, but Mercury gray like this:
They're nice XUV's and we've had zero issues with my wife's car. Good bang for your buck!

Sounds like a pretty solid set-up that's ready for several more PA winters! I love driving my car to work each day. Love the turned heads I get from the sub 30-yr olds, and I even got a thumbs up from a Porsche Boxster driver today.
