Here is the info that you seek.
The SVX has a titanium oxide coating in the windshield to prevent (or slow down) the sun's UV rays from cracking the vinyl on top of the dash. This coating interferes with the signals from EZ-Pass transponders, cell phones, radar detectors, & garage door openers.

I have had EZ-Pass for about 6 years now. The interior EZ-Pass transponder will NOT work in an SVX with the coated winshield.
You need to get the external transponder from EZ-Pass. It bolts onto the front license plate holder.


PS: The windshield coating is great at protecting SVX occupants during radiation releases at nuclear power plants. Just make sure you park facing the power plant.
