It is full-time AWD but is constantly variable (Meaning there are no "fixed" percentages front/rear).
But since it is FWD-biased, a 50/50 split is the most you will ever see transfered to the rear wheels.
Remember also that the front diff is open, so when you have no traction up there, that's also where most of your power is going to be sent.
The trick is to convince the car that the front wheels do infact have traction but you just need to "climb" over something. Alittle bit of pressure on the brakes while giving it throttle will tell the car that the front has traction but gives resistance enough to fully power the rears (giving you the 50/50 split).
Any system with an open diff (be it FWD, RWD, or AWD); wheel spin is your enemy as the power will take the path of least resistance.
