The first and third are closest to how they look to the eye. I'm sure Earl would agree with me.

Photography sometimes darkens the lower panel to a deeper tone than it appears in reality.

Personally I would not respray a car in a radically different colour such as Claret or Bordeaux to Silver. Not unless you respray the complete engine bay and door shuts.

Black to Graphite or Graphite to Black would be OK.

Claret to Bordeaux or Bordeaux to Claret would be OK.

It seriously "cheapens" a car when you lift the hood and a different colour can be seen.
