Laugh away. You'll find that your headliner will start pulling away from the backing with a velcro fix. Each time you open and close it, it pulls on the headliner and eventually separates it.
How do I know? That's exactly how the previous owner of the car fixed it, and I wish he/she hadn't taken that shortcut. The headliner has 2 ~ 3" worth of separation from the backing. . . right where the velcro was.
