Thanks for getting it up on the site! Yep, we were using a snow scraper jammed in the headliner trim to hold it up. So far, so good on this fix. Seems to hold wherever you happen to put the visor, so I hope it keeps working! One thing I should/could have added was to be sure to scar up the inside of the nylon shaft before putting the epoxy on, but most folks I think will do that anyway in order to give it more grip.
