Im pretty sure most LS models came FWD, I have seen a few that are AWD, but mostly I see L models in AWD and LS models in FWD.

Here the '94 Emerald green is listed to be available in LS form with the beige velour cloth interior. So I guess the other color chart is incorrect. It also says the '94 LS wasnt offered with AWD, neither was the '94 L models. The active safety group option wasnt added until '95. So your car seems to be normal.
