I have been using the Purolator L30165 from the 1983-1995 Porsche 944. Its 66% bigger than the L14459 our cars call for, has the anti-drain and bypass valves and more surface area for better cooling.

searches for these two filters and found that the Puroaltor 14459 is also the correct filter for the following motorcycles:
