I have had my 92 for 2.2 years now. Two of the first things I did: 1. Took apart the center console and glued it back together with RTV
No more creeeky plastic sounds. This was awful on my car. Evertime I touched it creaks woulf came forth.
2. Took out the glove box and instrument panel face plate and sprayed silicone lubricant into all places and also bewteen the windshield and dash.
The result was that it greatly reduced the noise of snap and pop
The trick is to spray it between the top of ducts and the bottom of the dash board
I still get a pop every now and then but it is a lot better.
I used some regular silicone lubricant but I would rather have used a 3M product that has no hydrocarbons in it. However, I have not been able to find this locally.
An important point is that it took awhile to start working
about 2 months.
