If you let your foot off the throttle to make it change gears then it will be slow and soft changing. The hydraulic pressures are increased when you have your foot down a bit harder and then the shifts should be crisper. If it seems to have a lag between gears WHEN YOU HAVE YOUR FOOT DOWN, then it is a bad sign.

The egr is probably not really too bad for the motor... for a while anyway.
I would need to know what motor you have to be sure. I'm in New Zealand and our cars are different to yours.

The Abs could be as simple as a lot of dust on the axle's pulser. To set a code it only needs to get a bad signal, it doesn't necessarily mean that the sensor is broken.
