Are sure its the harness if its still got some motion?
Have you checked the runners are clear, the smallest bit of gravel or something can jam them.
I would try WD40 (if you guys have it there, its a lubricant/Cleaner do it all saviours in a can!) Spray it into the switch, it wont do any damage so nothing to lose. It sorted the seat switch on my Lexus SC that used to move & stick all on its own.
