Let me ask you this.... when you checked the timing belt, did you verify both cams were in time with the crankshaft, basically you had all 3 timing covers removed and put the engine to TDC?
The reason I ask is, one time I thought my belt was ok and the driver side cam was in time with the crank..... and I assumed then ok the pass. side must be too (that cover is more of a PITA to remove), but what happened is a idler pulley dust seal caught in the belt and skipped timing on that one cam..... and trying to start gave a few misfires then nothing.
For this one you may try using starting fluid first in the intake, that way you can decide if you have properly timed spark or not and go from there.
