how much is the SVX you are looking at?
How much do you have right now?
How much do you have in hand at the end of every month?(after bills and other spending)
Are you going to be able to love and cherish your SVX in bad times and good? and in tranny failures and good 1/4 mile times?
I spend about $300-$400 in repairs/mods on my SVX monthly. Then again I am still getting my crap together as this car was a mess when I got it. SO in ending, let your father know you are prepared to face the responsiblity of owning a HIGH maintenance sports coupe and all of it's glorious power. When a Dad hears that his son is ready to take on responsibility seriously, he will let you go and do whatever. This is comming from a 20yr. old college kid that works his ass off to keep these cars running, so be prepared to do the same unless you are rich.
