Yes, its that simple. I only add that you put new hoses on when you change it and also before you change it flush all the junk out of the system while the old one is in. You can do this a couple ways - buy a kit to splice a T-fitting into a heater core hose and attach a garden hose and flush away (prestone makes these and you can find them at walmart or auto parts stores), or drain radiator, fill with water, run car, drain radiator, fill up again, run car. They also sell little jugs of some kind of flushing chemical but I have never tried one. Maybe someone else can offer advice there. It would be a good idea to do it before you put in a nice new radiator and fill it with 10 years of old sludge buildup.

If you are still using the stock tranny heater make sure you label the hoses before taking them off.

Refilling the new radiator - I usually get an empty gallon jug and put water in it about 2/3 full (or whatever you need for your cold as hell town - maybe 50/50 mix) and fill the rest with antifreeze then use that to fill the radiator - makes it easy to get the correct water to coolant ratio

It will take a while filling it as all the air has to escape from the system. Put a rag around the filler neck so you don't spill green gunk all over your shiny new radiator.

You will need to run the car up to operating temp and then run the heat full blast and then let it cool down again and top off the radiator to get all of the air out of the system.
