I searched the thread and checking the voltage looks to me like it's not a simple test with the multimeter, right? Someone did a write up on how to do that, but I got confused just reading some of it. Doesn't a bad voltage give you a flare in the shift? What defines a flare?? My car currently shifts fine...I only drive in "3" and "D".

First thing I'm going to do is one of the obvious.....I am getting new tires installed in a few days. My car has had two sets of tires from different manufacturers on them now and they should be all the same with an AWD car. So I will make sure the tires are installed and the correct pressures are there.
