That location will work just fine. The factory recommended position is on the pinch welds. That is were I position the jack stands. I have mod-ed you pic to show you were. The correct jack stands help in this too. The ones with a smooth support not ones with a deep cut in the center.

Thanks Steve, i wanted to place the jacks there too, but wasn't sure about where to put the factory jack to jack the car up to place the jack stands in the location you mentioned ... whew ... did that make any sense !
Oh well, i was able to get the job done.
