I feel exactly the same way!
Luckily, I do not suffer from any of those problems (touch wood!
), but due to the wiring inside both sun visors having split, I have had to disconnect both to prevent a possible short circuit!
After having examined the wiring, it does appear that the method used to route the wiring through the sun visor hinge is definitely flawed!
I understand that the design of the visor hinge mechanism was changed during the life of the SVX, but I am surprised that this flaw was not discovered (and rectified) sooner!
