This is my symptom as well HS. My car shifts perfectly when i give it gas and i've never had any issues going from 3 to 4. With my 3 occurences of "flaring" between 2nd and 3rd (with shifter in 3) it has always caught me by surprise because i'm hardly giving it any gas.
The new posts on this thread have me feeling a bit better. The other thread with the posts making it sound like adjusting the brake band was only going to delay the inevitable failure were not good for my nerves...sounds like the issue i'm having is totally different.
So if the brake band is adjusted my transmission should be ok (for as long as these things last)?
