Yeah, front of the engine, directly under the alternator. Your's may look a little different, I think I grabbed that image off of a STI website. And there's room to get your hand and a small brush in there without removing anything.
If you want to get fancy, you can paint one of those spirals like they put on the front of propellers and spinning turbines.
