the most noticable difference between the stock ECU and the Stage 1 has 2 parts...

1. The ability to run regular gas and save a couple bucks at the pump

2. It doesn't really increase power output in a peak form but smooths the power curve to make it more consistant throughout the rpm band... This therefor allows the car to make decent power at most Rpms instead of select ranges like the stock ECU.

Some people will claims some seat of the pants difference but this is all speculation. You should merely notice that the car feels strong at almost all rpms and not just in the middle. Some people will complain that it made no difference at all... These people may just not notice the difference in torque/hp at lower and upper rpms or their vehicle has an issue of which is restricting the engine in the 1st place.
