Hi Huck. I talked with Dave Clark last night about the mounts. He can't remember if he had to reposition the holes, but I do agree with you that the holes look to be in the OEM location. Besides the 1/4" thick plate, the OEM mounting plate needs to be clearanced. I think that if you want to be sure about everything, you're going to need a set of Grp N mounts and a set of OEM SVX mounts and do a bit of comparing.
BTW, I measured the thickness of the OEM SVX mount (without the plate), and its about 2.5-2.625" thick. The Grp N mount is about 2.25" thick.
