So you got the dreaded check engine light and the code is indicating one or more oxygen (lamda) sensors are reporting problems?

No?

Well, did you inspect the entrails of a dead chicken then?
Consult a ouija board?
Just guess?

You report that you are getting "crappy a$$ MPGs" - but just how many mpg is defined as crappy a$$ on your measurement scale?

You have measured your mpg, haven't you ?

If you haven't, then do so. Brim the tank, reset the trip meter, drive it a hundred miles or more, then brim the tank again. Then do the maths. Perhaps your mpg isn't quite as bad as you think it is.
