overall, i give teh elantra gt a 7.5 on a scale of 1-10.
i was a little disappointed with the gas mileage, but i did drive around 85 mph in colorado and nebraska and 80 mph in iowa, indiana, and michigan. i was much closer to the ridiculously low speed limit of 65 in illinois. radar detector was constantly going off.
the air conditioning was on at least 95 percent of the time as well.
my biggest gripe was the road noise; it was enough to take away from my iPod listening experience. the car seemed to strain just a little above 90 mph also contributing to my fair gas mileage. i think a slightly larger car might be quieter and solve the mileage issue. you know the 4-cyl hyundai sonata has the same epa rating as as the elantra. my urge to buy a new car is resurfacing.
